Can I download full Twitch VODs (past streams)?
Technically yes for VODs that are publicly available, but they're often hours long and may exceed the free tier's 15-minute length cap. Pro users can download VODs of any length.
What about subscriber-only clips?
Subscriber-only content requires a Twitch login and can't be downloaded by Clip. Public clips work fine.
Does the streamer get notified?
No. Twitch doesn't notify creators when their clips are downloaded externally. That said, please credit creators when re-sharing their content.
Will it work for old clips from inactive streamers?
Yes, as long as the clip URL still loads on Twitch. Twitch keeps clips indefinitely unless the streamer or Twitch removes them.
